look to 期望
老美常把 look to掛在嘴邊，有「注意」、「朝……看去」的意思，而在對話裡是表示「期望，指望」，和 look forward to 同義，差別在於look to後面接原形動詞，look forward to後面則接Ving（動名詞）。
SALES MAGIC-2 超級業務員
Philip and Sue are a young couple looking for a family car.
Sales: Hi there! Looking for anything special today?
Philip: We're just here to take a look around actually.
Sales: I see you're driving a Ford Festiva (type of small car). Is that big enough for you, or are you looking to 1)expand.
Sue: We are looking for something bigger. The Festiva was my car before we got married, but now it's just too small.
Sales: I see. Is it just the two of you, or…
Sue: Just the two of us…for now. Actually, we're hoping to get a car that we can use for trips and things before we have kids.
Sales: Do you have to carry a lot of luggage?
Sue: No, but we like to travel with our bikes.
Sales: I think you should consider an 2)SUV. They aren't as expensive as you might think.
Philip: An SUV? That sounds good to me! We could carry our bikes, I could use it to carry my skis, we could go 3)backpacking…

Sue: Do we really need an SUV now, honey?
Sales: Look at it this way :If your family grows, an SUV is big enough to grow with you.

蘇：親愛的，我們現在真的需要休旅車嗎？
業務員：不妨考慮這點：如果你們的家人變多了，這部車的空間仍然足夠你們使用。

寫個人書信的訣竅 (十二段中的第七段)
Use creativity in your letter writing. Write letters on colorful stationery. You can even make your own. Send thoughtful non-occasion cards just for fun. Enclose recent photos of you and your family, friends or pets.
Most importantly, write lively letters with interesting news and questions. If your note includes plain, boring contents, the receiver won't have much to write back about. Your letter should make your friend want to write back.
寫信時要用點創意，可以用彩色的信紙寫信，甚至可以自製。有時候寄一些貼心的、非關節慶的卡片令對方開心，隨信可以寄上你和家人、朋友或寵物的近照，最重要的是，利用有趣的消息和問題來寫出生動活潑的書信，如果你的信裡儘談些平淡無聊的內容，收信的人就沒有可以回信的題材，你的信應該要讓你的朋友在看了以後想要回信給你。
